The whole idea sucks. My car is definitely more attractive if these increases go through. 20 work days a month at $90 per = $4.50 per day + $3 = $7.50 per day. I can park downtown for $9 - $10 per day. Why put up with the transit headache for $1.50 per day saving? The figure that "only 10% of the spots are used by transit riders" (from Herald article) is too ridiculous to be true. At Fish Creek everyone I see park gets on the train.

I don't agree with paying for parking in transit lots either. If only 10% of parkers are transit users-what are all the other cars doing there? I wonder how many people don't even pay, especially at rush hours. I thought some of the cars are from outlaying commuter towns. Are we able to recoup anything from commuters that don't pay city taxes.
