I'm pretty sure that 54-40 are the ones that originally wrote and recorded "I Go Blind". I've always liked their version, although the later version by Hootie and the Blowfish is quite good too
54-40 ARE the songwriters of "I Go Blind", and although I prefer their version, they are still enjoying the royalties from Hootie's version!
