Calgary is looking good this morning although the snow is melting and who wants that .

Today the early bird word is CROSS and the freeloader word of the day is Disease.

And Toy is a bonus code.

Rita is still here. Let me vent. I been in Calgary for a couple of years now and it seems that everywhere I worked the people are so mean. I've had 5 jobs since I've been here. I'm now working as a server and I hope that will work out for me better than working in an office. So anyway, I don't have to get up at 6am anymore and am not sure what the EBWOD is cause I've missed it the last 2 days. :( and also, I've learned how do put myselft as anonymous.

Dear Rita,

It saddens me to hear that Calgary's citizens are mean, as a born and raised Calgarian, I've also noticed the spirit of the city is in neglect. So as a older Calgarian, I have vowed to smile more often and be kinder to others, especially people who help others. So if our paths cross, you'll know me as I'll have a big smile for you and a stupid joke, may we renew the true spirit of Calgary not just for now but all year round. And Rita, here's a big bear hug !!! and another one for anonymous !!!

Thx for the nice words, I truly appreciate it. If you ever come to Airdrie stop by at the new Mr Mikes and you never know, I may be the one to serve me. You'll know it's me, as I think I'm the oldest server LOL

I think Calgary is suffering the same growing pains that most cities do. It's tough, but I've seen lots of places that manage it and still keep their special character.

The Grey Cup reminded me of something I love about Calgary. We're known throughout Canada, and somewhat worldwide, for three things: impish pranks, boundless generosity (pancake breakfasts just being the most obvious example), and excellent parties (Stampede again only being one example). Not a bad way to be seen among 30 million people!

So yes, there are jerks here, as everywhere. But I agree with Anonymous #2. If we all just take a little more effort to live up to our reputation as fun, bighearted people, this can still be an amazing city.

...and I'm a transplant from the US!

Well, the last 2 places I've worked has been all women. Have you ever worked with just women. Between the PMS, MENAUPAUSE and some just being natural Bitches. I rest my case.

Yeah, Calgary is changing. I moved to Calgary in 1992 and back then it was totally different. I think its just the trade off of city growing. Good manners are lost along the way. Sad!

Happy holidays!

Rita,
Is Mr Mikes the new steak restaraunt across from the new hotel?
I have been waiting forever for that place to open. I drive by it almost every night when I take my wife to work at Wal-Mart.
Looks like I may be stopping in before Christmas if it's open now!
